We are looking for an IT System Support to support one of our long-standing customers, with whom we enjoy a long-term, sustainable partnership.
Function
As IT System Support, you will assist our customer in the management and maintenance of a satellite image programming and processing centre. You will be working on the customer's site (on the outskirts of Brussels), which means you will be as close as possible to operations.
Your specific duties will be to:
- Maintain the system in operational condition (SW and HW)
- Install software upgrades and IT infrastructure components
- Keep a logbook and write reports
- Identify and correct problems
- Communicate regularly with system developers
- Support and train operators
In short, you will be responsible for user support activities within the framework of a Service Level Agreement (SLA).
No worries! You will be trained in the IT infrastructure and software used to acquire the know-how you need.
The team
You'll be joining a team of 2 people, also IT-oriented. There's a very good atmosphere here, which is why a positive personality is required for this position.
Profile
As IT System Support, you have...
- A bachelor's degree in IT & systems with at least 2 years‘ experience, or a certification training with at least 3 years’ experience in an industrial environment
- Knowledge of networking basics
- Advanced knowledge/experience in:
- System administration: Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory
- Virtualisation: VMware, vSphere, Charon AXP, Virtual Connect Architecture
- PC hardware diagnostics
- Scripting
- Python
- Good command of technical English (B1)
- An interest in the space sector and environmental issues
