FPGA & Embedded Developper

Function

To sustain our growth in a fast-moving sector, SPACEBEL is looking for an FPGA & Embedded Developer ready to join our “Modelling & Simulation” team for satellite and launcher simulation.
There is a lot at stake in European Space programmes and you will have the opportunity to take part in ambitious Space projects. SPACEBEL, a Belgian company, ranks among the top 3 European companies active in modelling and simulation. More specifically, we want to remain highly competitive in our particular expertise focussing on simulators and electronic test facilities, thereby contributing to the strategic challenges of the European Space sector.

As an FPGA & Embedded Developer, reporting to the Project Manager, you will be involved in:

  • The development of test benches for software validation;
  • The design and development of electronic components that integrate those benches;
  • The development of satellite and launcher simulators containing hardware components (hardware in the loop).

Profile

  • You are attracted by our area of activity and passionate about IT systems.
  • You hold a university degree in electronics engineering or a degree in industrial engineering.
  • You have at least one relevant initial experience in the Space sector and/or in hardware development in an industrial environment.
  • You have experience with Xilinx tools (Vivado/ Vidis) and FPGAs.
  • You are familiar with software development methods and standards.
  • You have an affinity with embedded code development.
  • You are proficient in one or more of the following programming languages: C, C++, Python in a Linux environment.
  • You are curious and open to learning new programming languages and Space systems.
  • You have good communication skills and work easily in a team environment.
  • Reliable by nature, you are a committed person on whom we can count to achieve our ambitious objectives: accuracy, multitasking and organisational skills are your leitmotivs.
